Religions in India

India is the birthplace of some of the world´s majors religious traditions: namely Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism, but a large part of the people of the country of India also follow religions such as: Christianity and Islam. Throught India's history, religion has been an important part of the country's culture. Religious diversity and religious tolerance are both established in the country by the law and costum.
